A look back at our First

      Forever Active Adventure

      Walking the Portuguese Camino

This September, I had the privilege of leading our very first Forever Active Adventure, a 10-day journey along the Portuguese Camino, from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. Eleven of us and our private guide, set out together, curious, a little nervous, but full of excitement for what lay ahead.

From the very first steps leaving Porto, the energy was contagious. The first few days followed the coastal path, with fresh breezes, and endless sea views that could only be described as unforgettable. We walked wooden boardwalks and seaside trails while our group found it's our own pace, steady, calm, and full of anticipation.

As the days passed, our path turned inland through rolling countryside and quiet forest trails, where the air was scented with eucalyptus and pine. Each morning brought a new landscape, from sun-dappled vineyards to stone villages that looked frozen in time. Along the way, we shared stories, laughter, and countless “Buen Caminos” with fellow travellers.

We paused in towns that welcomed us with local wines, wonderful meals, and a warmth that reminded us why walking like this is so special. This Camino was not just about reaching Santiago, it was about everything that happened along the way: the conversations, the shared challenges, the quiet moments of reflection, and the joy of discovering what our bodies and minds could do together.

On our final day, we arrived in Santiago de Compostela, stepping into the grand plaza before the cathedral, a moment that can only be described as magical. Centuries of history, devotion, and human spirit seemed to fill the square. Standing there was more than just the end of a walk; it was a celebration of perseverance, community, and connection.

That evening, our group gathered for a farewell dinner near the cathedral, sharing stories, laughter, and gratitude for an adventure none of us will ever forget.

You can see more photos, posts, and stories from our journey on Instagram — a glimpse into the people, places, and moments that made this adventure so special.

This inaugural Forever Active Adventure was the perfect beginning, a reminder that fitness, travel, and friendship can create truly meaningful experiences.

And while we haven’t yet announced what comes next, we’d love to hear your thoughts as we consider planning another Forever Active Adventure in the future.

Here’s to movement, discovery, and staying Forever Active, wherever the path may lead.

      Take care,

      Uli
